Love conquers all

Monday, 23 May 2011

Planning Tomi’s wedding was quite interesting as the bride was a planner herself. Of course in planning any event there are bound to be differences here and there but it was a wedding i absolutely loved.
With the help of my dearest friend Yewande of sara o, the event designer, who did not hesitate to call me up at 2am in the morning!.....All just to make sure our Princess Tomi had her fairytale themed wedding as both Tomi and Toro are from royal Families.
It was a day of fun mixed with glitz ,glamour and paparazzi with stars such as Ice Prince, Tiwa Savage, Wande Coal, Banky  W and Freeze as the MC, just to mention a few that were there to spice up the occasion.
It was indeed a celebration of love and a truly unforgettable experience, one which can only be described as OLEKU.

Real Weddings: Uwaila & Solanke

Tuesday, 17 August 2010

Venue: Lagoon Restaurant , Victoria Island , Lagos

This is hands down one of the classiest weddings we've had the honour of designing. Uwaila is stunning and was one organized, detail orientated bride.
So one of the phases I went through was loving butterflies and incorporating this as much as possible into my décor at the time. Good enough, Uwaila wanted a fresh, clean 'springy' design and chose Yellow and green as theme colours. These are very vivid colours together and I decided to break it up using a favourite accessory of mine- white space!
There were lots of charming touches to this wedding including the an ice sculpture of the couples which incredibly held up in Lagos temperatures -bride's own secret- ice sculpture (if she's not revealing the secret, then neither are we!!), the forest green carpeted walkway with yellow petals, the almost CIA-like seating arrangements, I could go on and on but it was just really one of those weddings where everything went absolutely perfectly.

The entire ambience of the ceremonies and reception was certainly one of simple elegance and we are smitten indeed by this real wedding.
