Industry News: Nigerian Wedding Planners Association Launched

The Association of Professional Party Organizers and Event managers of Nigeria (APPOEM)
has finally arrived ! 

More and more brides today are also looking for an experienced wedding planner to provide time-saving and money-saving ideas, and generally to reduce the stress of the wedding planning process. Have you ever had to use an Event  Planner and s/he fails to delivery as agreed? 

 In order to upgrade the quality of services to esteemed clients throughout Nigeria,  Event Managers in Nigeria have come together to form an alliance known as the ASSOCIATION OF PROFESSIONAL PARTY ORGANISERS AND EVENT MANAGERS IN NIGERIA which is the first of its kind, has the duty of regulating the activities of event planners as well as creating a framework for professionalism in the industry.

At the recent Launch in June of the Association ,  there were a number of first class event planners/industry people in attendance and the following list is in no way exhaustive- Molara Akinosho (Just Weddings), Gbemisola Adenekan (Omega Events), Funke Bucknor-Obruthe (Zapphaire Events), Adeowo Tajudeen of Nigerian Bottling Company (Coca Cola) and Adeedas, Kemi Dairo (Event Experts),Victoria Roberts (Victoria Roberts Solution), Tosin Sowemimo (Exceteera),  Yewande Onabiyi (Sarao Events), Seun Lasaki ( Twist Events), Duupe Adeniran (Wedding Planner magazine), Funmbi Akinsosoye (Dunamis Events), All the Details, Kofo Olawoyin (Eventful), Nurudeen Adekoya (Silver Platter), Lulu Onoklwa  (Living Events & PR), Duntan West  (Wonder Works), Ajibola Ponle (Stencil Events), Yewande Zaccheaus (Eventful), Onyegbula, Victoria Akudo What2do Event Ltd), Ronke Bajowa (R & B Concept), Nebilah Ronke Igiebor (Kalhari Events),: Frances Eze (Connect Marketing) and Funke Alogba (YAP & E).

APPOEM’s main roles are to certify wedding & event planners, serve wedding professionals' professional interests and protect couples/clients from poor services . I feel its about time as all of us (event planners) can benefit from ongoing education and  networking with our peers in the industry. It can only result in better quality of services/professional conduct for you, the clients! What are your thoughts about this?
